I was deeply saddened and at a loss for words when I learned of the passing of this wonderful man today. Mr. & Mrs. O'Donnell constituted all that was right & good in my world growing up, and I will never forget the many good times & lessons learned in their home & with their family. He led by example and created a wonderful legacy to carry on the family name (in no small part thanks to Kevin :) Megan, my childhood friend, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I was blessed to have you all in my life.

June 20, 2012

Dear Mrs. O'Donnell and Family:
Please accept my sympathy at this sad time of Bill's passing. I want you to know how very much Bill meant to me. Still to this day, I think of him and hold deep respect and appreciation for his lessons and guidance in my grade school days. In 1960-61, Bill coached my teammates and I on one the most successful of his OLHC CYO basketball teams, and we still talk about winning the CYO Championship in College Park, MD. But he never let our “heads get too big” which was the mark of a true leader. I will never forget his advice and leadership. Please know that you all have my most sincere thoughts of love and sympathy. I will always remember Bill! Truly, Dave Pfahler

Woody and family,

It is an honor to be part of this wonderful family. Bill will be missed by all. He certainly was loved by everyone. His endless supply of jokes could brighten anyone's day. Bill knew how to live life to the fullest. I only have wonderful memories of all his accomplishments. If only half of the people in the world had the outlook on life that he did, the world would be a kind and gentle place.

Love your son-in-law,
Jerry

My heart is full of wonderful memories of Uncle Bill. Bubba and I were just sitting on our deck and laughing about all his "jokes" that he so eloquently told. Most of all I will remember him as a great brother to my MOM and a servant leader through everything he accomplished in life.

Kevin, Megan, Kathleen and all of the family: I remember Bill O'Donnell since I was a little girl, my grandmother, Marion Walsh and my Aunt Mary Walsh would always talk about Billy O'Donnell, I remember when my mother, Mary R McGee Walsh died in August 1984, I was only 22, he let me come into see her, bring her makeup and perfume, he had her so beautiful that it was much easier on me and my father....he was very solemn bringing her out of church, he handled all of my family for all of these years....I know he got to meet my son Ethan, through Kathleen working with him, and was very kind to him. I remember him as a very kind and gentle man and a very unique part of the family. May Angels of God be with him and all of you.
