Hi Dad,

Happy Birthday

Another year had passed and still the pain is overwhelming. Missing you and Mom on a day that would be joyous and wondering why? This past year had been hard on the family and just having you and Mom to talk to would be such a welcome relief. I miss you both and think of you everyday. Tell Mom hi and love you. Talk to you later, love j

Hello "Big" Bro

The past two years have gone by so fast. Sadly, for all of us, we lost both you, and the "love of you life" El. El, went through some really tough times, and is now at peace. And you are both together again. Its all just so hard to believe! But, all of us have our many memories of your lives spent together.

You are in my thoughts every day. Miss you so much, and miss being able to call and talk with you, and hear your voice. Been thinking about when we were kids growing up, and some of the places we went, and things we did with Mom and Dad. I think we had a pretty good childhood! Also, been thinking about when you and El were married, and many memories that were made over the years from that special day.

Sure you know about the "Yanks". I even watched some of the games, which is hard for "me" to believe!!

Will keep you both in my heart

Your "Little" Sister
Jeanne

Dad,
Mom's service was so nice today and she looked beautiful. hearing all the stories of you and her and your life together, from your wedding to your dancing at parties and friends at the Hogan's, all were hard to hear but a joy at the same time. You and Mom had some loyal and loving friends and they shared stories with us today. People we had not seen in years were there, reminding us of years passed. Heartfelt hugs and welcome tears were a comfort to us but... hugs and kisses,j

Life sure is different now, but finally all the girls and Mom are doing better. It looks like the Yanks are the team to beat in AL, the NL is not so clear cut. LOVE YA Man!

Pop, Few have been so much to so many and asked for so little in return. You are loved, missed and thought of often by all who you have touched. Here, Just for you!

It's only been one year, 365 days
Yet you are missed in so many ways
Your smile warms the morning sun
Your eyes twinkle the stars, one by one
Your heart leads us, if we lose our way
Because you are within us everyday

Dearest Dad,

A whole year has passed and the changes are unbelievable. Life has changed in so many ways for each of your children and Mom, but still the world continues to turn. I have missed you and your guidance, wisdom and laughter. The best times are family times and one piece of the family is missing, which is still hard to accept. I think of you daily and miss you as much today as last year. Sending you hugs and kisses. j

Happy birthday pop! Keep smiling down on us, we need it! Hope you are enjoying some cake up there even though I wish it was with everyone here thinking about you today. Love and miss you so much!!

November 6, 2008

Happy Birthday, Dad

Today is one of the toughest day that are going to happen to the family yet. I cannot believe that last year we had such a great day and then the next day so many things changed. The year from Hell started and so many changes have occurred, writers could not write this last year of our lives and dream up such a story.

You know what has happened to each and every one of your family members, so only good things can be coming our way.

We will try to be strong today, but forgive us if that is only 5 minutes at a time, but we will try.

So enjoy a piece of Linda's homemade birthday cake and remember to bring your Christmas list.
love and kisses, j

HI Dad, I am thinking of you with love and tears. Happy Birthday. This is a very hard day coming up and we are all feeling the same thing... but life continues and we will say our prayers and blow kisses up to you. Miss you much. Love, Ginny XO

October 9, 2008

Hi Dad...thinking of you today. I cannot believe ten months have gone by since you were in our lives. I miss you so much. I am trying to be strong for our family during these difficult times, but it is hard. Please keep watching over us and help us get through the coming months.

Mom is improving but still has a way to go. Jeanne is doing her best but also has some difficult months ahead. Linda losing Bela this week is very hard for her. Bill, Ginny, and Vicki are dealing with their everyday family life as it comes. I am lucky to have Kevin. He has been supportive and understanding with the changes our life has taken. As always, he worries about me.

Just really missing you these days. Many thanks to you and Mom for making our family what it is. We have each other to lean on and that is because of you and Mom. I will be forever grateful to both of you for that.

Miss you and love you,
Sharon

Hi Uncle Bill:

Just wanted to say hi and tell you how much I miss you and love you very much and you know how much I still think of you everyday all of the time. When I was in PA. back in July, I stayed in Macungie with my cousin Danny Trump and the days I was at the Route 100 Railroad Station Crossing, I felt like you and Uncle Don were staring down watching me do the one thing I love the most which is videotaping trains and you both know me so well you might have been laughing also. Please tell Uncle Don how much I miss him and love him and I miss and love you too.

Your loving nephew,

Bill, Salem, NH.

Hi Dad, I am thinking of you tonight. I miss you and Mom so much. I don't keep in touch like I should, but you and the rest of the family are in my thoughts and prayers each and every day. My family here in Georgia is doing pretty good. They are on their own now and they will be just fine with the lives they are living. I miss them and can only imagine when your children went out on their own one by one. It is so hard. I am so proud of the family you and Mom have created. There is a lot of love and support and kind words when we talk with one another. Know we are doing our best, and miss you very, very much. Mom is so sweet. She is going through so much these past few months, and she is a real inspiration to all of us. I know she misses you, it has been tough lately. We all know you are watching over us, as we are looking up in the heavens and smiling at you too. I love you, Ginny XXOO

July 21, 2008

Hi Dad,

Returned yesterday from our trip to Georgia. Cara was a beautiful bride and Ginny was a beautiful mother-of-the-bride. "Butterfly Kisses", a Dad/Daughter song, brought a few tears to my eyes as I knew you were there with us. Sorry that Mom could not attend, but she was in my thoughts too. She gets a little better every day and we are taking over for you with taking good care of her.

I love you and miss you...as does Mom.
Talk to you again soon.
Love, Sharon

July 13, 2008

hi Dad,

I'm sure your presence will be felt by all that know and miss you. keep us safe and close at heart. love always, j

Pop, this first Father's Day without you was difficult, not a day goes by... you know. The family has alot going now and I am doing my best to be you, the calming voice of reason, you know the way you always were for me. I truly wish I could tell you in person "Thanks for all the kind words you shared with others about me, many people have come up to me and told me how proud you were of me". Happy Father's Day to the man, one day, I hope to be.

Love Ya, Man!

Bill,

Time has past so fast, its now 5 months, since you have gone. I Just wanted to let you know, that I think of you every day, and miss you so much!! Would love to "kid" with you again about your "Yankees" and my "Red Socks" like we did every year. I never thought I would do this, but sometimes I will watch part of a "Yankees" game - in your honor.
And that isn't easy!!!

Bye, for now

March 2, 2008

Bill,

Not a day goes by - without thinking of you, and missing you!! Its so very hard at times! Try to think of all the "good times" we had as kids. Unfortunately, we weren't able to spend as much time together later in our lives. But, that didn't change the "love" I had for my "big brother".

As for the "Yankees", my feelings are still the same. Who are they?????

Miss you so much,

Jean

Pop, not a day goes by I don't think of you. I just miss our conversations, your support, your laughter, and your being you. Few knew how truly close we were, not just father and son, but best friends. You are and always will be "the man" !! Love ya Man!! Pitchers and catchers... two weeks!!

February 4, 2008

Dad, I miss you and think of you every day. You would have enjoyed the game last night. Giants beat the Patriots, no perfect season for the Pats. A commercial with Derek Jeter made me think of you hanging out with Mantle, Maris, Munson, and the rest of the guys. Tough day today...I found out a friend lost her Dad on Friday. i wish I could tell her it gets easier, but so far it has not. So hard to believe it's almost two months and my heart still aches. I am sure Mom's does too, but she is and always will be the strong one for "the kids".

Thanks for listening. I love you and miss you.
Love, Sharon

Uncle Bill:

I am very proud that you were my Uncle, and I miss you very much. Not a day goes by when I don't think about you or the great times we had when I visited you, Aunt Eleanor, and the others. But, what I remember the most about you and laugh at, is when I was little and Mom was talking to you on the phone. I didn't know It was you until I asked her and then I asked if I could talk with you. So she handed me the phone. At that time you knew I liked Ronald McDonald, and Hamburgers from McDonalds. I was telling you that I had a McDonalds Hamburger and that I would probably, someday, meet Ronald McDonald. You said, Ronald McDonald is a bum and his Hamburgers are terrible. I remember laughing after you said that, because I knew you liked kidding around. I loved your sense of humor. But what I loved most about you, was how thoughtful you were about calling Mom and I on our birthdays to talk with us. I always enjoyed talking to you whether it was a special occasion or not. Uncle Bill, you are in a better place, please remember that you have a caring Nephew who loves you very much. Miss you.

January 8, 2008

Bill,

I miss you! But I'm so very glad all the hurting has ended. You are in my thoughts every day! Also, Mom and Dad! Think alot, about when we were growing up together. Mostly, good things, we kind of took care of each other. Just didn't like listening to all your drum playing. I know you always remembered about the times you used to like to "scare" me. You thought it was so funny! But I finally got back at you with the "special Pudding" I made for you! You never tried to scare me after that! I will definately miss not being able to "hassle" you about your "Yankees". I'm so glad to have had you as my one, and only, "older" brother.

Jean

A Journey of Love

Seventy five years ago on a November morn
To William H and Virginia Peltz a son was born
As the legacy of William Frederick Peltz grew
This drummer will be remembered as “Whitey” by just a few

Then Uncle Sam sent him across the pond
He safely returned to find the woman of which he grew so fond
John and Emma Schuch’s daughter, Eleanor
She was to him everything, and a little more

With Linda they became three, next September Sharon made them a family of four
Thirteen months later, a son Bill, could they ask for more?
Soon after the stork brought Ginny, named after his mother
Then Jeanne arrived, now there was four sisters and a brother

In ’61 his Yankees were winning, while Maris completed his feat
It was now Vicki, their newest, the world would meet
Narely two decades since this journey had begun
He was blessed with a wife, five daughters and a son

From Mountainville he moved the family of now eight
To Spring Garden Street, number Eleven Twenty Eight
He worked at Rodale and his wife at Merchants Bank
From the Jordan AC to the Hogan’s, for that, we have the Pumm’s to thank

For just a place to hang out and have a friendly drink
Suddenly they were “Miss Ellie” and “Colonel Klink”
There were quite a few nights there we got good and drunk
Understandable, if yearly you marched in a parade with a son named “Klunk”

Soon parental tears would be shed
As one by one, his children would be wed
New seeds were soon to be sown
And pictures of grandchildren were proudly shown

While Missy, Mark, Cara and Amanda filled his arms
Andi, Brooke, Jedd made it seven wonderful Pop-Pop charms
Then just a few years later, it was Great Grandchildren the stork would bring
With Shelby and Quinn arrivals, this man would go from a Colonel to King

A journey of love started between a man and his wife
That told the story of my Dad’s life
Please don’t be saddened for his recent twist of fate
As family and friends, it is Bill Peltz’ life we are here to celebrate.

Ellie and Family
I was very sad to see that Bill had passed away. May God be with you all at his time. I have known Bill for years and every time he saw me at the Hogan's he always had a warm smile for me and a big handshake. I will miss seeing him.

What can we say? He made us feel like part of his family. We are so sorry to see him leave us so soon. This past summer we had the pleasure of being invited to a family function and there he was... just being Bill. Enjoying being with his family and friends and telling a joke or two. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire gang. We love you and will truely miss you.
