DUSTIN CECIL

DUSTIN CECIL Dustin James Cecil, 48, of Woodsfield Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 21, 2024. Dustin was born in Marietta on May 13, 1975, to Garry and Vana Gardner Cecil of Lewisville, Ohio. He graduated from Skyvue High School and Swiss Hills Career Center in 1993. He also attended the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima for Diesel Technology. Dustin was a long-time member of the Teamsters Local 697 and the IBEW Local 71 having worked in the energy industry for many years. Dustin met Dana in 2005 and they married in 2006. He was a proud father to Cody, Brendon, Toby, and Savannah. Dustin loved doing projects with his kids in his spare time. He was an excellent cook, a jack of all trades, and an all-around amazing guy. He was always willing to help anyone in need and did so with an infectious smile. Dustin was a grass-cutting aficionado. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATV riding and loved all kinds of music. He was an avid outdoorsman and a friend to all with a natural ability to make everyone smile and laugh. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Virginia (Highman) Cecil, and Junior and Ester (Dunn) Gardner. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Dana Cecil of Woodsfield; his children Cody Cecil (Neilie Dimmerling), Toby Cecil (Chloe Sams), and Savannah Cecil, all from Woodsfield; Brendon (Monica) Gioia of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; two grandchildren Cade Cecil and Ares Gioia; his parents Garry Cecil and Vana Gardner Cecil of Lewisville; brothers Titus (Heather) Cecil of Lewisville, Lee (Viktorija) Cecil of Cincinnati, Jesse (Alicia) Cecil of Graysville, and Michael (Kayla) Cecil of Pomeroy; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends were received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio Sunday, April 28, 2024 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Monday, April 29, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. with Kelly Vile officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Graysville, Ohio.
