MARIAN RUTHERFORD Obituary

MARIAN RUTHERFORD Marian E. Rutherford, 75, of Marietta, Ohio, formerly of Antioch, passed away August 4, 2025, at her home. She was born in Barnesville, Ohio, August 5, 1949, a daughter of the late Dean Ellis Rutherford and Doris Briggs Rutherford. Marian was a 1967 graduate of River High School and Columbus Business University. She was a secretary for both USAir and Waste Management in Columbus, Ohio, for many years and returned back to Antioch and worked as a part-time rural mail carrier. She had attended Woodsfield First United Methodist Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a active member of Midway Community Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Rutherford. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Jeanne and Al Lang of Marietta, nephews Aaron Lang, Ben (Chas) Lang, Dwight (Lisa) Lang and Garrett (Caroline) Lang, and great-nieces and -nephews Andrew, Braxton, Colsen, Mollie, Haven, Ella, Declan, and Lilly. Friends were received from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday, August 8 at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, with Rusty Atkinson officiating. Burial followed in Antioch Cemetery, Antioch, Ohio.
