Debora Jane McFarlane

1949 - 2025

Debora Jane McFarlane (Debi), age 76, a lifelong resident of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on September 24, 1949, Debi spent her whole life rooted in the family, faith, and community she so loved. Debi attended Sprayberry High School and was a graduate of Marietta High School, Class of 1967. Debi loved her family and the strong friendships made with neighbors, co-workers, and Church members. Debi was a faithful member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, where her love for Christ was evident to all who knew her. Debi loved Jesus deeply and was a Christian who found peace in her faith, believing she was saved by His blood.

Debi was preceded in death by her mother, Lynn Shell; her stepfather, Will Shell; her father, Edwin Nash; her stepmother, Candy Nash; and her beloved husband, Glenn McFarlane. Debi is survived by her three children: Cris McFarlane (Darcy), Maggie Humbert (Tracy), and Peter McFarlane (Jamie); ten grandchildren; and one brother, Jim Nash.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 20, at 10:00 a.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
