Donald Mills Obituary

Donald Wayne Mills, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was 80 years old.

Born on December 30, 1944, and raised in Bainbridge, Georgia, Donald lived a life marked by steadfast integrity, quiet strength, and deep devotion to those he loved. He shared 59 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Laura O'Bryant Mills, building a legacy of love and family that will live on for generations.

Donald was a proud father to two daughters, Melissa Mills Fountain (husband Greg Fountain) and Stephanie Mills Grahl (husband Dirk Grahl), and a cherished grandfather to Nicholas and Jacob Fountain, and Granite and Dustin Grahl. His love for his family was the heart of his life, and his presence at family gatherings, holidays, and daily moments will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at Cool Springs Baptist Church, located at 4671 Hwy 53, Tate, GA 30177, on August 23, 2025 at 2:00pm where friends and family are welcome to pay their respects and celebrate Donald's life.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Donald's life to consider a donation to organizations that support Parkinson's research including The Michael J. Fox Foundation; or organizations that support vulnerable children in need including the Samaritan's Purse.
