James Kilpatrick Obituary

James 'Jim' Robert Kilpatrick passed away on October 15, 2023. He was born in Atlanta on April

14, 1945 to Evelyn and Bill Kilpatrick. He attended Tucker High School, Georgia Military College, Mercer University and Dekalb College.

In 1975 he married Marguerite Clark, and they enjoyed loving, laughing, and living for 47 years.

He was survived by his wife, Marguerite, his sister Elaine Strickland (David) of St. Augustine, Florida, Sisters-in-law, Liz Baum, Madison, Georgia, Irma Sayyah, Marietta, Georgia, Jane Evans (Don), Rincon, Georgia. He was also survived by 2 nieces, 5 nephews, 7 great nieces and 7 great nephews and soon to be great great nephew. He was known as Kipper to some and Jim to others. He owned and operated the snack bar at the Municipal Market in Atlanta before owning and operating Marietta Nursery Company in three Cobb County locations. He loved John Wayne, movies and all genres of music.

Honoring his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winship Cancer Institute, Emory at https://winshipcancer.emory.edu/
