Loretto Bobo Obituary

Loretto Bobo, 79, passed away on February 13, 2025, in Holly Hill, Florida.

Born on December 17, 1945, Loretto dedicated her life to caring for others. She began her career as a Registered Nurse before earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. Her passion for healing led her to practice chiropractic care for many years in Georgia. She also shared her expertise as a faculty member at both Life University and Palmer College, where she inspired countless students. One of her greatest joys was leading students on international trips to provide chiropractic care to underserved communities. Even in retirement, she continued treating patients and friends from her home office.

Loretto had a deep love for the ocean and found joy in sailing, cruise-line vacations, and all aspects of ocean life. She was an avid traveler who embraced new experiences with enthusiasm. A woman of faith, she worshipped at the Basilica of Saint Paul.

She is survived by her sister Sandra; brothers Russell and Mike; daughter Jeanne; sons Charles and Scott; and grandson Asher. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whose lives she touched with her kindness. She was predeceased by her parents, Lois and Russell.

A memorial lunch will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post 120, 461 Walker St, Holly Hill. A Mass of Intention will take place on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint Paul, 317 Mallory St, Daytona Beach.

Donations in Loretto's memory may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary "Dr. Bobo Scholarship Fund." Her thoughtfulness and sweet nature will be remembered by all who were blessed to meet her.

Dr. Bobo was a very sweet, skilled and Blessed Doctor. Dr. Sally was always available to the students she mentored and helped become real world healthcare providers. May love and light always be with you.

Dr Loretto (Sally) Bobo was a good friend, a wonderful homeopathic medical advisor and a totally selfless lady of multiple talents. She was an auxiliary member of our Mother Exterminatrix of Heresy (Legion of Mary) Praesidium. I think Sally could do anything she could imagine. My most precious memories stem from when she called for help in taking care of Ella in her last few months. May you rest eternally in the arms of Jesus & Mary along with all the souls of the faithful departed. Eternal rest & love.

Dr. Sally Bobo was an incredible person whose memory I will always treasure. She, and Ella and I were great friends when I was stationed in Atlanta. She helped me with many things and adjusted me more than once. My most treasured time was when she called me to help during Ella's last months. Sally's deep love of God (and the Catholic Faith), total selflessness, and CAN DO attitude make her truly distinct. Imagine - in addition to freely serving the unfortunate with her chiropractic skills, she was also a licensed boat captain, a licensed auctioneer, a homeopathic medical expert and all around "handyman" for what needed fixing in the home. I am blessed and a better person for having known her. May her soul and all those of the faithful departed rest in peace. AMEN

I knew Sally well as we were classmates for three years and graduated together from Life Chiropractic College in 1982. She was a true friend and helped me a great deal in so many ways. I would visit her at her apartment and we chatted over the many challenges we were undergoing in our studies. I met and knew her three children. She became involved with Herbalife through me after we graduated and we continued to share friendship. Sally was REAL, honest, out-going and a lover of life. She had a special SPARK, as anyone who knew her well would agree. She and I chatted about a year ago when she told me she'd had brain surgery. Her voice was changed but her energy was still the same. She will be missed. She was greatly impactful on many people over many years by her service attitude. I am honored to have known her as a friend, and confidant. This photo was taken around 1983 or 84 at an Herbalife meeting.

We remember Sally fondly from her trips to Bequia, St Vincent and the Grenadines with the Palmer college students. We always thought we'd see her back in Bequia one day, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. She was a fabulous chiropractor, an inspiration, and a lovely, lovely lady.
