William Phillip Biggers

William Phillip Biggers of Marietta, Georgia passed away on June 13,2025. Phil was born in Grayson, GA on July 11,1939 and was the son of Otis and Laura Johnson Biggers.

Phil was a member of Grayson United Methodist Church and served as their youth choir director while in high school. He also played baseball with the Grayson High School varsity team. Upon graduating from high school in 1957, Phil joined the Army National Guard. He also began his lifelong career in telecommunications with Southern Bell the same year. Phil later worked for AT&T and then continued working in that field by starting his own company, TOTM Business Systems. When Phil retired from that industry, he began restoring homes in Marietta using skills he learned while helping his father build homes. He received an award from Cobb Landmarks & Historical Society for his tireless efforts in preserving several historic Marietta homes.

Phil was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with his friends as often as possible. He was a member of Bent Tree Golf Club and hit a hole in one on the course on a wonderful November day.

Phil is survived by his wife, Terri; nieces Sharon Ellis, Sheila Sosebee, Christy McCart, Stacey Land, Leslie Turk and nephew Stan Stubbs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis & Laura Biggers; brothers Robert Biggers, Bruce Biggers and his sister, Mary Stubbs.

A memorial service to celebrate Phil's life will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 21st at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta GA. The visitation for family and friends will begin at 3:00pm.
