Nadine Doyle Obituary

Nadine Carol (Jamison) Doyle passed away on Sept. 4, 2016, from complications following surgery. She was a cheerful person who always looked at the bright side of life even when facing difficult times. She was devoted to family and especially enjoyed visits from younger family members. She was quick to smile and laugh and was happy to meet new people. We will always remember her kindness, generosity, and strong spirit.
Nadine was educated at Mendocino High School and graduated in 1958. She attended Fullerton Junior College and received her BA degree in 1978 from Cal-State University in Hayward. She graduated with honors with a major in sociology and a minor in native American studies.
Her main profession for over 40 years was as a linotype operator and printer, working for the Mendocino Beacon, the Fort Bragg Advocate-News, the San Jose Mercury News, and the Hayward Daily Review, in addition to newspapers in Seattle and Alaska.
Nadine's husband, Clancy, preceded her in death, as did her son, Michael. She is survived by three grandchildren: Ashley, Michael Jr. and Bryce; and a great-grandson, Brayden. She is also survived by her siblings: Kenneth, William, Carlton, Judith and Eugene Jr.
Services will be Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Headquarters Cemetery, Highway 162 @ Biggar Lane, on the Round Valley Indian Reservation near Covelo, California. Reception to follow at the Round Valley Senior Center, Highway 162, next to the Tribal Administration Building.
