Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma Billie resided in California since 1948. She married Leo M. Becker on June 11, 1949. They were long time residents of Merced, California before moving to Laguna Woods, California in July 2013.
As a young woman Billie dreamed of being a roller skating professional and achieved a bronze metal at a roller skating proficiency competition in San Francisco in 1949.
A avid golfer, Billie was a member of the Merced Golf and County Club 18 hole Ladies Division for over 50 years. During that time she was club champion in 1975 and again in 1977. Billie also racked up holes-in-one on holes 11 and 17.
Preceded in death by her parents; Lester and Corda Hare, three brothers; Lawrence, Robert and Donald and her beloved son Richard Lee Becker. Billie is survived by her husband, daughter Deborah Ann, son-in-law Gerald Madrigal, daughter-in-law Janice Becker and step grandson Brian Silva.
A Remembrance and Celebration of Billie's life will be held at:
The Merced Golf and County Club,
6333 Golf Road,
Merced, California
on April 24, 2014, 1-3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Billie's name to a charity of your choice.
