Darlene Brammer Obituary

May 23, 1930-April 28, 2011

Darlene Lou Brammer passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2011 at the age of 80. Darlene was born on May 23, 1930 in Morrill, Kansas to Louis and Florence (Wilkerson) Herbster. She was married to Robert Lee Brammer on September 9, 1951 in Verdon, Nebraska. Darlene was a charter member of the Daughters of the Air Museum, a prominent member of the Seventeenth Annual Conference of American Women's Activities-Germany, a member of the Officer's Wives Club, a volunteer tax preparer for senior citizens and an avid bridge player. She was also an active member of the Methodist Church for over 50 years. Darlene will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Robert Lee Brammer, her son Greg Brammer and her two daughters, Cynthia Kuhle and Candace Cease. Also surviving are her grandchildren Grant and Seth Brammer, Lindsey and Michael Kuhle and David Cease. Mrs. Brammer leaves one step-brother, Darrell Herbster of Auburn, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Goolsby.

The family wishes to acknowledge the care provided by Mercy Hospital and Doctors Hospital in Modesto.

The celebration of Darlene's life will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 12pm at the Atwater United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atwater United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the American Heart Association.
