Don and I first met when were stationed together at NAS Miramar during the mid to late 1960s. Later Don was my mentor when I reported to FCCSSA in 1974. He was truly a great friend. Rest well Senior Chief.

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a wonderful neighbor and mentor on the homeowners association board. Always a kind word and smile.

My sincere condolences to the Cheverette Family. I had the privilege of working with Don for some years at FCDSSA. Don had such a great personality and a wonderful sense of humor. May Don rest in peace.

Rest in peace my brother. I will miss your knowledge of the world and it's history, your political views, and most of all your wonderful sense of humor. I love you. Your loving sister La Verne
