To the family, you have my sincere condolences. When someone falls asleep in death (Ecclesiastes 9: 5,10) the memories we have of them become our most precious treasure. May those memories comfort you as well as Gods promise at John 6:40.

I'm still having a hard time accepting his passing. I spent my entire childhood growing up with Joel and his four brothers . He was such a nice person and I have so many good memories of times with Joel and the family. It's been some years since I've been in contact with any of his brothers and I want them all to know that I'm thinking about them at thier time of loss and that God will comfort and strengthen them.

The first time I met Joel, he was demonstrating the latest Hammers. With one swing, he drove a 16d sinker in. This was how he attracted many customers into his booth. Joel used several clever and fun ideas to turn a long day into a fun day. During one of his first shows with us, a good friend brought his 7? year old son. Danny spent a long time at Joel's booth. Dad bought his son Danny's first Hammer from Joel. Quite often, Dan has asks me if I've heard from Joel lately. Dan is now 25 years old, and last month he asked again. I don't believe Dan will ever forget Joel. That's also the kind of impression I will always remember Joel by.

I am sorry to hear of Joel's passing at such a young age. Joel's father was my mother's uncle. I have many fond childhood memories of visiting the Allen family in Atwater and us kids playing. My sympathy to all the family. May the love of family and friends carry you through the touch times.

We are so sorry to hear of Joel's passing. We knew him from his early childhood because our friend, Juanita Bohner took care of him while his mom worked. He was always a happy kid. We knew his parents, Jim and Ann, as well as his brothers. We never met his wife or children. He stopped at our home in Atwater a few years ago when he saw us sitting on our driveway, and we had a good visit remembering days passed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
