Richard Covert Obituary
He is survived by his daughter Crystal Bowden, son Sean Covert and his wife Kirsten, grandsons Elijah Bowden and Gage Covert. He is also survived by sister Virginia Baker and her husband Bill, brother William Covert and his fiancée Beatrice Chavira, nieces and nephews Buffy, Ginger, Kelly, Billy and John.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM, at First Baptist Church, 500 Buena Vista Dr. in Merced.
Arrangements are entrusted to Whitton Family Funeral Service in Merced.

THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE FOR ME AND BEING A GREAT FATHER I THINK OF YOU DAILY AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE WITH US. ELIJAH LOVES YOU AND EVERY TIME HE HEARS A HARLEY HE SAYS "PAPA" HE THINKS IT IS YOU RIDING BY. WITH MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE COVERT FAMILY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDDAD, AND BROTHER.
I KNEW RICHARD FROM SCHOOL AND ALSO FROM BEING OUR NEIGHBOR AT THE OTHER END OF 9TH AVENUE. WE ARE ALSO COVERTS AND STRANGE AS THAT SEEMS, WE WEREN'T RELATED. MY PARENTS AND HIS KNEW EACH OTHER AS YOUNG PEOPLE. I OFTEN THOUGHT ABOUT RICHARD AND WHERE HE WAS. HE GAVE ME HIS DOG, CHINA, BECAUSE HE COULDN'T KEEP HER ANY LONGER. THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL.
