Bob and Linda were the nicest people. Always happy and smiling and I loved hearing about their trip to the mother land. They have always been family to me and I am proud to be a part of it. Hopeton will not be as bright this year, but Bob´s memory will live in all of our hearts.

My brother Bob was the first child born to Louis and Constance Correia and I am the thirteenth. We had a big portuguese, catholic family. Bob was a great guy. He had a plan; love family, work smart, enjoy life and prosper by planning and achieving his life goals. He and his wife, Linda, were an adorable couple who were very sweet and kind to family and friends. They were very proud of their two children, Trina and Tim, as well as their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob served in the Army overseas and also served the citizens of California for many years as a succesful, senior member of CalTrans.
Bob had a bit of wanderlust as he was a walking, talking encyclopedia of highways and byways of the western-half of the United States. He was a very adventurous fellow, from taking Linda over the Sierra Nevada on his Harley-Davidson Sportster to cruising in their Pontiac GTO to many, many holidays in their various RVs over their years.
Bob had some health challenges in the latter part of his life but was tenacious and resilient till the very end. I was fortunate to have him as a big brother.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bib at the Hopeton Festa and learned that he and my dad we buddies in high school. He enjoyed telling me stories about their younger days and boy did they have some fun! Bob was always so kind to me and I will miss his wonderful smile. My sincere condolences to his family and may they find some comfort knowing he is with his beloved Linda. Rest in Peace dear Bob.
