Robert Means Memoriam

Robert Means
You are in our thoughts forever in our Hearts. As we approach the one year mark of your passing.  We reflect on the memories your life left behind.  Our close friends, Doug and Raydeen Boister are always here for support.  Doug misses you coming over to their house on Sundays to watch football, basketball, or any sport on the tube. You both bet on your favorite teams.  I always know when my honey was winning or losing.  He was a proud 49er and Giants fan he would say the ref made a bad call if it was against his team. You and Doug just got along so well, and he always lets me know how much he misses you. Remembering all the fun we had playing card's with Doug, Raydeen, Marty Shirly and who ever wanted to play. The Big Bar-B- Q's Doug and Raydeen put on was wonderful. Bob was known for his Bar-B Q steaks, and crab sandwiches James Sr, always wanted to know how Bob made the crab sandwiches and special Marinate for Steaks. Bob was a giver not a taker, always willing to help when he could. I always run across someone telling me how previous students never would have made it without you, you were loved by most. Becky my daughter comes down from Sacramento to help me. When you went to God Becky was here to help me, it has been a long time trying to accept you not being with me my love. We really didn't go visit anyone but Bobs Mom and Family. If you wanted to see Bob you had to come to our home, Tony and Tammy came to see us when they could, James Sr., Becky, James Jr. and Courtney made the trip as often as possible if they didn't show up for a holiday Bob would get upset. Bob gave James Jr. and Courtney both their driving lessons so they are both accomplished drivers. Bob also took James Jr. James Sr. and Courtney to Basketball games at Merced High. We spent many happy times together, Rosa Sharon had a special place in Bob's Heart. Sharon has a special place in all our hearts. Bob and I enjoyed fishing up at Briceberg and Merced River. Camping at McClure, Driving up to Hornitos and Cathey's Valley. Then drive over to Aptos to see his Mom and Family. Bob's brother John and Wife Elaine would come to see us on occasion, We enjoyed their company. Bob and John both loved to fish, I could go on and on but Bob was such a special person and gifted teacher, and will live on in our hearts forever.

There is no doubt,"If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever."

Mr Means was one of my favorite teachers. I loved sports and we would always share some banter over the Lakers and Golden State Warriors. I enjoyed his class and would talk sports even when not in class. My condolences to the family

What a special tribute to Bob. You all were great friends to My mom, Shirley. I know life will never be the same without him, but sharing the memories with others is wonderful. Thank you,
