Ronald Broughton Obituary
07/08/1948 - 03/17/2015
Ron Broughton, a life-long resident in Merced, Ca., passed away on March 17, 2015 at Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center in Modesto Ca. at the age of 66 years. Ron's parents were Eugene and Clara (Vann) Broughton.
Ron served in the U.S. Army with the 4th infantry division as a combat infantryman in Vietnam, with the remainder of his service at Fort Lewis Washington, departing as an E-5.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Broughton. He is survived by his mother, Clara Broughton, his daughter, Kimberly Flores (Albert), his brother, Chuck Broughton (Linda), and his grandchildren, Jacob, Abigail and Aubree Flores.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, at San Joaquin National Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) in his name.

Have been living in the Bay Area and Las Vegas. Came back to Atwater and tried to find Ron. Ron and I were classmates, garage band musicians and best of friends. I missed him. Family member(s): please contact me. I am in need of info on Ron's life. Great guy, and an even greater wrestler. Wewere so proud of him.
