Merced, California - Stanley E. Westfall, age 89, of Bailey Flats, California passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Stan was born very near Knowles, California on April 23, 1933. In his early years he attended Bailey Flats School through the 6th grade. The family moved to Fresno where he attended Roosevelt Junior and Senior High Schools, graduating in 1951. Next it was to Fresno State University where his education was interrupted for a two year period in the U.S. Army. He returned to F.S.U. and graduated in 1960. His working years were with the U.S. Forest Service at the Agriculture Department Experimental Range north of Fresno. In retirement he went back to Bailey Flats to the homestead, built a new house and spent his remaining years.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and younger sister, Evelyn.
A visitation for Stanley will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street, Merced, California, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
