Benjamin Espiritu Obituary
1943-2011
Resident of Los Gatos
Benjamin Espiritu passed away on May 25, 2011 at the age of 68. He was born in Puhi, Kauai, Hawaii, attended Kauai High School and graduated as a Chemist from San Jose College in California. He retired and formerly worked for the City of Gilroy, IBM and Spectra-Physics in California.
He is survived by his loving wife Mabel, daughter Jessalyn Espiritu of Santa Clara, CA; step-children- Richard Daos, Sr. (Mary), Deneen M. Watase (Glen) and Malibu Daos (Imee), seven grandchildren of Oahu, Hawaii; brothers Tony (Kiyoko) and Ernesto Espiritu of California; also numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his ALOHA (love) and sense of humor. He was an avid player of the ukulele and compassion for Jazz music. Ben loved all and touched many lives. He will be truly missed.
Celebration of his life will be held on June 11, 2011 at Darling-Fisher Family Mortuaries, 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos, CA, (Across the DMV in Los, Gatos) at 10:00 a.m. viewing, and services at 11:00 a.m.

I continue to remember my dear friend after his passing, I lost my husband seven years ago, it is very hard to lose family and friends even though it is part of life, I hope Bens family are doing alright. Special memories of my dear sweet, kind friend will always be with me.

I never new what happened when my husband and I left the cupertino area, tried numerous times to keep in touch, We were his friends who lived next door to he and his first wife, My daughter adored him now she is 39 and he always said he was raised iN kauai and he said if I ever go to the Islands go there, Well , Ben We went last year in june and loved the Island and thought of you. I will always remember our wonderful talks we had, my only regret is I did not see you in over twenty four five years, Aloha, my dearest friend. rest in in peace and enjoy those warm tradewinds in heaven. We are so sad to hear of Ben's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We knew Ben back in the 1960's going to City College and around the Hawaiian group. We will miss him but will always remember him....Aloha
