Beverly Frances Wright

1934 - 2023

Beverly Frances Wright, age 89, passed peacefully into the hands of her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 14, 2023 in her hometown of Los Gatos, California. She was surrounded by her loving children. Beverly was born on February 10, 1934 in Hammond, Indiana. Her family eventually settled in St. Paul, Minnesota where she spent her childhood and teenage years. After graduating from Carleton College and Columbia University (M.A. Special Education), Beverly married her college sweetheart Thomas Jerry Wright and moved west to California. Beverly enjoyed 63 years in the South Bay Area, raising four children and establishing many community connections. She was very active in her church, and served in various volunteer capacities over the years, including child advocacy work and suicide prevention. She enjoyed playing bridge, watching San Francisco Giants games, traveling, gardening, spending time with her friends, and being a mother and grandmother. Beverly is survived by children Wendy Wright (Ed Hessel), Jill Santos (Rob), Kim Bergkamp (Jim), Chris Wright, her eight grandchildren and sister Marion Owens. She will be dearly missed by her large community of family and friends.A Celebration of Life service will be held for Beverly on May 17, 2023 at 11:00am at the Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos, 16575 Shannon Road, Los Gatos, CA.
