Cynthia Carr Obituary

Cynthia Lynn (Cala) Carr
Resident of Cupertino
Our loving daughter, sister, and mother. Cynthia passed away too soon from M.S.A. (Multiple System Atrophy) on September 29th, at the age of 65.
Cindy was born in San Jose to Joe and Helen Cala. She is also survived by her brothers Joe (Lisa) Cala and Nick (Beth) Cala. Cynthia was a wonderful mom to her two sons Christopher and Nickolas Carr. She loved being auntie to Alex, Lauren and Lindsey Cala. She will forever be in our hearts.
Cindy attended Holy Cross High School and then to San Jose State School of Nursing. She worked in emergency and maternity at San Jose Hospital for many years.
Cynthia's services will be held Friday, October 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Dr., Los Altos, in the St. Clare Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions preferred to Brain Support Network, P.O. Box 7264, Menlo Park, CA 94026. Please view or sign guestbook: cusimanocolonial.com

Cindy - I fondly remember getting together when we were all kids back in the 50s. We had such good times together. May you rest in peace, free of pain dear Cousin!

I will especially cherish my time with Cindy the last few years whenever I came home to visit. Eventhough the visits were short, they were filled with laughter and memories about our Holy Cross High School years and our working together at Marie Callender's in the 70's. I will always admire her quick wit, beauty, generosity, and brave heart and spirit. She will be missed very much. I will keep Cindy, her Family and Loved ones in my thoughts and prayers. Love and Friendship always,

Cindy was truly one of my best friends.. we worked together in the emergency department and went to the same nursing school. We always laughed at everything and even with years between us With our busy lives it was like we hadn't been apart for even a day. I am so sorry that she had to suffer the last few years but was happy to be able to spend time with her and talk to her many times a week on the telephone. I will miss her like a sister and will pray for her family and for John and eventual peace... she was truly one of the greatest friends I'll ever have. Much love to you Cindy
