D. Phillips Obituary

PHILLIPS, D. May-- a 20-year resident of Menlo Park, died December 13, 2002. Born in Barbados, West Indies, on May 23, 1916, she grew up on a sugar cane plantation in the colonial days of the British Empire. After marriage, she followed her husband to Guyana, formerly British Guiana in South America.
Her husband, John David Hunter Phillips, died after 14 years of retirement in England and she came to the States to be with her two daughters. She was an active and well-loved member of Trinity Parish and enjoyed her many friends. Her children and grandchildren were special to her and she will be sorely missed by them.
She is survived by her daughters, Ellie Ferrari of Portola Valley and Heather Borcherds of Menlo Park; a brother, Charles McKenzie of Victoria, Australia, and a sister, Eulalie Evans of Great Britain and 4 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 330 Ravenswood Avenue, Menlo Park, followed by a reception at the Church.
