Daniel Motta Obituary

Daniel Joseph Motta August 6, 1988 - July 29, 2005

Danny, we love and miss you more than you can believe. We will always remember you as our baby boy. You have a beautiful heart, so young and open. You are a loving son, brother & friend. The impact you have had on us is indescribable. Daniel you are an independent & free spirit, drawing many to you, as you look beyond the surface of those you meet, to see the inner truth, judging no one. Dan, your way with younger children, is a gift. All seem to gravitate to you, because of your sincerity and patience.

Dan loves people, sports (more people) & kids (yet more people). Danny loved animals, video games, cartoons, movies, snowboarding and people (again). For Dan, it's all about people, dances, parties, barbeques, or hanging out.

Danny is survived by his parents Susan and Neal, brother Justin sister Jacqui, grandparents Lillian, Charlene & Ray, aunts Teresa, Gloria & Alexzandra, uncles Tim, Gerry, Chris & Grant, cousins Anthony, Brittany, Kalah, Camille & Julian. But Daniel will be missed by so many more. We are honored to have been part of his life.

Dan's Services will be held Thursday, August 4th at Chapel of Flowers, 900 South Second Street, San Jose. You may also come to honor Dan on Wednesday, August 3rd, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, make a donation in Daniel's name to O'Neill Sea Odyssey http://www.oneillseaodyssey.org. I have known Daniel since the second grade although in recent years we have gone to our own groups. Daniel is such a sweet, kind, and gental young man who will be missed by everyone that he has met always and forever. He has remained to be one of the few greater than great friends that I have for all these years. I will miss you always Daniel and I will never forget your kind smile. Del Mar wont be the same without you Dan, when we are laughing and having fun, its all for you. The senior class of 06 will be the most thoughtful for years to come. We have so much to thank you for Danny, I dont even know where I would begin. To the family and other friends, you are all in my heart. I love you Daniel and all of us will remember you through smiles. Stay happy!

Our son Ian is a fellow senior at Del Mar and although he did not know Daniel, as the parents of two boys I cannot imagine your grief at this time. I hope the wonderful life Daniel led will provide you with memories which will help heal the pain. And I know his spirit will be with you always.

Neil, Sue, Jacqui & Justin - what a terrible loss for you. I don't have the words to describe the pain I feel for you now. Scott has always spoken well of Danny (though when they were younger, as all younger brothers, he could give Scott & Justin some grief at times!) My heart is broken; I have been praying for you all every day. Please know that you were such wonderful parents and we appreciated everything you did with and for Scott. Our thoughts and prayers are with you - a life way too young to be taken.

Sue, Neil & family,

Even though I didn't see much of Daniel the last several years (only in passing at school) I remember him as far back as when he was in the 5th grade with Nick. Last night as Valerie and the boys went through pictures at my kitchen table I saw SO MANY photos of Daniel hugging and laughing with friends throughout the years. Those are the memories I will hold dear and I pray that those photos and love from all his friends will give you and yours comfort in this time of need. Finally, last night, I saw Daniel in my dreams with a hugh smile.

Someone so special will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are you.

Both my children Josh & Rachel have fun and fond memories of Daniel, always the joking, vans skate park, and trips in the looser cruiser. Our deepest sympathy to the whole family. We are thinking of you all in this difficult time.

I think anyone who ever met Daniel has been affected by the accident, daniel always made people laugh, he was the life of the party and when anyone was around him it was hard to not have a good time. We are going to miss him a lot and i promise to him that every memory we share in our senior year we will bring daniel along with us in spirit. I <3 WBC!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you as you go through this very difficult time. Just know that Daniel touched the lives of so many and will always be remembered. That is how we can keep his memory alive. He was definitely a true friend to many. Ashley and her friends are very shaken by this loss of such a wonderful friend.
