David Micheletti Obituary

David John Micheletti
September 29, 1952 – February 2, 2021
Resident of San Jose
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David John Micheletti. Dave was born into the wonderful Micheletti clan in Los Altos Hills. With fondness he remembered the years of go-carting in the backyard, exploring the then vacant neighborhood hills and lots of baseball. Dave met the love of his life Joanne at the outdoor rollerskating rink in Twain Harte when they were 15. They have been skating hand in hand ever since. Dave's specialty was Insurance Risk Management at which he excelled for 46 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his family. There were countless weekend projects which both instructed and bonded. Many hours were enjoyed on the soccer field with Dave as both spectator and coach. He loved his role of Pops as the grandchildren played and cuddled with him on the couch. He also made the most incredible minestrone and navy bean soups and pasta sauce for all to enjoy. From heaven Dave loves and guides us with his parents Mel and Lorna and brother Paul as well as Joanne's parents Jim and Shirley Silva and brother Larry. Dave is survived by his wife Joanne, two sons: Chris (Ariadna) and Matt. Also his brothers and sisters Diane (Clyde), Rob (Karen), John (Diane), Joane (Bob) and Jim (Lisa). In addition he will be greatly missed by the many Micheletti, Ballard and Silva extended families. We look forward to a celebration of Dave's life at his beloved Bellarmine on Saturday, April 24th at 1:00 P.M. This will be an outdoor event with covid considerations. If you would like to make a charitable donation in honor of Dave that would be very welcome. He loved both Bellarmine and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley. We were deeply shocked and saddened to hear that Dave has passed. He was such a wonderful friend and business associate. We were always happy to spend time with him and Joanne. Our thoughts are with the family in their time of loss. We will miss Dave too.

Oh Man...my heart is aching! I am sad that we have lost Dave. He was not able to attend any of our “BELL BOYS” lunch gatherings that I wished so badly he would attend so we could catch up. Dave and I enjoyed time away from Bellarmine in Twain Harte in those mid teen years. We, the Maida’s, had a cabin in Twain Harte and the roller rink was a pretty awesome place for him to meet the love of his life. Dave was also a part of baseball programs at Bellarmine and always a positive influence on his piers. Rest in PEACE my friend! Thanks for the smiles and laughter you blessed me with. You left us too soon!
My sincere condolences go to his wife and children, grandchildren and all family and friends.
With Prayers, Stan Maida
