Resident of San Jose
Beloved son of Lydia Zabel passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. He is survived by his mother Lydia Zabel, brother Michael and wife Jane, nephew Nicholas, niece, Michaela, sister-in-law, Martha Zabel, nephew Alexander, niece Adalia and his beloved Frisco. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph, brother, Kenneth and his grandparents. David was an electrician and a member of IBEW Local Union 332 and also a motorcycle enthusiast. He was also well known for his love of grilling. Services were held Friday, July 24, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart Association in his memory. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support shown to them during this difficult time.

I was shocked and so sad to hear about Dave Zabel's passing. My son Jeff Dorchak was good friends with aka "little midget" they rode their Harley's and always laughed together. My son died 6 years ago so now they are together riding heavens highways. My condolences to David's family and friends.

Brother Zabel and I do mean Brother, you were and are the epitome of the definition of being a true brother. My time knowing
you enriched my life tremendously. You always had cheerful demeanor about you and welcomed everyone. I only wish I had been able to speak to you more often. Brother you are sorely missed and I am going to honor you with a special mash . You know what I mean. It's not goodbye, but instead see you later. Much love Brother.
