Donald Fletcher Obituary

Donald Stuart Fletcher February 9, 1935 - April 20, 2004. Born in Great Falls, Montana went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2004. Moved to California at age 5 and attended school in China Lake. Attended college at San Jose State University, where he was a Student Body President in his sophomore year. Don was also President of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity in his sophomore year. Because of his accomplishments Don, was entered in the 'Who's - Who in America's Universities'. He graduated San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in June of 1958. In 1955 Don entered the U.S. Army in Fort Benning Georgia. He married Donna Marengo in 1956. They had their first daughter Linda Burge in 1957. They returned to California in 1958. Don attended Santa Clara University and obtained a degree in business. They had their second daughter Kari Silliman who was born in Burlingame, California in 1959. Don was very active in numerous churches throughout the United States. He was an Information specialist consultant for the protection of individual rights and the Constitution of the United States. Don is survived by his wife, Donna Fletcher of Galt, CA; daughter Linda Burge of Galt, CA; daughter Kari Silliman of Stockton, CA; grandsons Danny Silliman of Sacramento, CA; and Adam Silliman of Stockton, CA. Also his uncle, Adrian Ward of Alameda, CA; and aunt, Ruth Ray of Williston, North Dakota, and many cousins. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at O'Connells Funeral Home located at 1311 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA. Visitation will be held Friday, April 30, 2004 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Contributions in his honor can be made to the WC Memorial Foundation/Donald S. Fletcher which will continue the fight for individual freedom and justice.
