"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."

Donna was a kind and loving person who gave freely of herself for the benefit of others. Working with her was always a joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but she will live on in every person whose life she touched . . . her family, her friends, her co-workers, her patients.

Our hearts are deeply broken by the tragic loss of your dear mother and grandmother Donna. We can only imagine how tender and bruised your hearts must be. She was a beautiful soul who lived for her children and granddaughter, always putting them first before herself.

To Anna, Maria, Donnie and Mariah:
We hope it gives you comfort in knowing that you were a very important part of a well lived life.
It moves me to know that she was greeted with open arms by our Heavenly Father and her son, your brother Tommy.
Please know that we keep Donna and each of you in our daily prayers.
She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by so many who knew and loved her. May God Bless You All with love, comfort and peace.

This is to Donna's grandbaby girl. It is for you to know that your grandmother's and my conversations were most often about you!I called her"Glamma"(glamorous grandma). We laughed many times over something you had said or done. She would brag about your progress in different tasks. You were your grandmother's joy, her delight, her love. I am so sorry that she didn't come home to you from work that day. I know that you don't understand it. Neither do we. But it is important for you to know that she is still with you- she will always be watching over you.
All of us at Napa State Hospital will miss her. She was fun to be with. We wish her family only the best and know that our prayers are with you now.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Donna's family in this time of tragedy and loss. I will always remember Donna as a warm, cheerful woman, with a smile on her face that could brighten a room. To say that Donna is and always will be missed, does no justice to the impact she had on the lives of many others.

Rest In Peace Donna... God Bless

My prayers go out to Donna's family... you will be missed by us all.... I'll never forget your smile...your gentleness...

"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget."

We knew Donna, we were neighbors. She was a very loving person, very devoted mother and especially devoted to her granddaughter. She was a very proud grandmother and loved taking care of that little girl. Her granddaughter was her pride and joy. We know that she was a very hard worker and gave her all day in and day out to that hospital and her patients. She will be greatly missed. This is a difficult time that her family, friends, and co-workers are all going through, my deepest condolences. She will be remembered.

I knew Donna in passing, but I never had the pleasure of working side by side with her in my 28 years working at our hospital. I know many people who were friends, students, and co-workers who have told me how pretty and huge her smile was, how strong of a person that Donna was, how hard of a worker that she was, and how they enjoyed working with Donna.
To Donna's family, I want to convey my deepest sympathy and may God bless you and comfort you during this most saddest of times. I hope that you find some measure of comfort knowing how many people loved and admired Donna and thought so highly of her.
To all of you who were Donna's friends, I am so sorry for your loss and wish to convey my deepest sympathy. I wish that I had had the opportunity to have known her the way that you all have. I was stunned, shocked and deeply saddened at Saturday's news. Not one minute has gone by that I have not thought of Donna, her family and all of my co-workers.
To all the co-workers out there, keep your heads up. Rest assured that Donna will never be forgotten. We shall keep Donna Gross in our hearts and our minds. Donna, you will be missed. May God bless you and your family. Peace to you all. With the utmost respect and sincerity,
