Edward Mitz Obituary

Edward C. Mitz Departed peacefully March 12, 2006, and entered into eternal rest at age 68. Beloved husband of Lorraine, loving father of Kathy, Edward, Kevin and Erinn. Cherished father-in-law of Rebecca and Cindy. Devoted grandfather of Ryan, Kevin, Michael, Rebecca, Glenn and Jessica. He will be missed by all.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 17th, at St. Francis of Assisi, 5111 San Felipe Road, San Jose, CA 95135. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York 10018.

I can't remember the last time I saw Edward, but I sure remember his big smile and that he always had something nice to say.

My prayers are with you during this difficult time. I knew Ed in the early 1970's when we were both associated with NASA. He was instramental in my becoming a crew member on the CV990. Ed was a great instructor and friend.
