With her family at her side, Georgia (Mama) Solidum De Rego, passed peacefully at home, on February 18, 2015. Mama was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anson, and brother, Florentino Solidum. Mama is survived by her children, Robert (Bobbie), Debra Ann (Ron), Clevis (Tania), Tom (Erin), her grandchildren, Bryan, Michael, Emma (Matt), Gabrielle, Anson, Nigel, and her great grandchildren, Tommy and Layla. She is also survived by her brothers, James, Salvador, Elmer, and her loving sister Evelyn, and many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Mama came to California to attend Providence Nursing School in Oakland. She was an R.N. and worked at Stanford Hospital where she retired after 45 years of loyal and compassionate service.
A resident of Mountain View for over 50 years, Mama led a very full and active life, volunteering at the Senior Center and Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.
The De Rego family is eternally grateful to Mama's in-home caregiver, Vai Setoki, who up to her passing cared for her with much love and tenderness.
A rosary will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015, at 7:00 PM at the Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, 96 W. El Camino Real, Mountain View.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georgia De Rego's name to St. Jude's Children Hospital or The Salvation Army.
