So many fond memories. He was the best Dr I had and very thorough. He was the only one my daughter let call her storm. I owe so much gratitude to him for doing all he did to help me have my baby girl.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Greg Hooper. Greg was one of my medical school classmates. He was a brilliant, very down to earth guy. He edited my residency admission application statement. He was awesome. Just found out on 5/11/2018 of his passing at our 30 year class reunion.

I have many, many fond, wonderful memories of Gregory, his brothers, his father, Larry (who was my physician for many years), and Wilma, my best, dearest and beloved friend for 32 years. Although I've lived in Oregon for the past 17 years, it seems only a few months ago the boys were active in football and tennis, catfish grilled in the backyard, the boys sitting at the cozy bar in their home; watching the playoffs. I know Greg will be missed by his family, the loss a great loss. Michelle Barroso-Grubbs

I am so saddened to come across this obit. Dr. Greg's late mother was my late mother's cousin. I remember him fondly when he was a curly-haired child. I am so proud of his accomplishments. My heart goes out to his family. May he rest in eternal peace.

I remember how he always noticed my silver jewelry and was so proud of the ring his brother gave him. He made one feel like family. He was always professional and made me and my family feel secure in his care. My husband and two sons were equally fond and secure in his care. We will miss him. We respected him and Dr. Lawrence. Dr. Greg smiled thru his struggles. The other doctors to whom he referred us had nothing but positive things to say about him. Rest in peace Doc.

I just went online and was thinking about him and saw this...I am so saddened by the loss of Dr Greg. He was there for me through all my pregnancy losses and was there when my daughter was born. He was the best Dr ever and cared about all his patients

Sunshine brilliantly radiated from the pride that awakened my senses since my very first visit to the father-son practice that daringly arrested my mistrust of medicine, after a bout with serious illness. Dr. "G" (generous) as I referred to him, nourished my health, heart and life's humilities with every genuine consideration any human being could offer through his medical expertise, sharp wisdom & even sharper fierceness to defend, to lift up a drooping spirit with an uncanny zest rich with encouragement__wiping away stressful tears with mile-high
smiles and a lean-on-me attitude of caring. At my lowest with my mom's declining health to my highest recovery from disease...The Hoopers stood as the wind beneath my wings for years. Tireless in their endeavor to serve sacrificially! If only I could have given a portion of what was blessedly given me to provide time outside of the weariness of their health challenges. Heaviness weighs me down at the losses. How much more for Carrie and family. I'm SO sorry for the distance and stillness that separates.
lovingly,

Dr Greg! My favorite boss. The man who gave me the confidence and knowledge to be a leader at a young age of 20. I still think of you and hear your words in my head when I am searching for direction. I do believe that I became a great manager because of you.
Thank you for your words of wisdom, encouragement and your kind heart. You will be missed dearly.

As my neighbor, I remember many things about Greg. I even had a crush on him when we went to Panama Elementary School. He was the best at every sport he participated in but I remember him most for his walking on 10 foot stilts in our culdesac, Cornwall Court. Not just an excellent athlete, he was a genuinely super nice guy AND the smartest in the class.
