Irma Ramirez-Kurtz Obituary

Irma Ramirez-Kurtz
Apr. 17, 1939 - Oct. 8, 2013
Resident of Patterson, CA
Words can't express the loss that many are feeling at the sudden passing of Irma Ramirez Kurtz, 74. Irma has gone on to Heaven to join Frank Kurtz, her beloved husband, who preceded her in death in 2005.
Irma grew up in San Jose, CA and lived there until she moved to Patterson in 1989. She went to San Jose High School and loved going to dances with her sisters and friends. After graduating high school, she became a bookkeeper; eventually becoming a Controller and Office Manager for large law firms in the San Jose area.
Irma will be missed by hundreds of friends and family, her three children, thirteen grandchildren, and eight great- grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Manuel Ramirez, and sister, Vicki Pena.
A celebration of Irma's life will be held at Salas Brother's Funeral Chapel Home, 419 Scenic Drive in Modesto on Saturday, October 19th at 1 PM.

Well, to my little sister Irma, you are still greatly missed. How I wish I could talk to you one more time. You had a great Heart or as some would say, the "Heart of a Lion". Take care and watch over my son Matthew for I will soon see both of onces again. Your big Brother, Manuel

In memory of my beautiful sister Irma Ramirez Kurtz, whom I loved, admired and respected. These past two weeks have been times of much sorrow and happiness. Sorrow, because I know that you are no longer with us, realizing that we will not be calling each other or meeting or just knowing of your presences. I probably will continue to think of you that you are still in Patterson but our visits will less.

Happiness, knowing that by this time you have arrived at the gates of Kingdom of Heaven as you always looked forward to and been welcomed by the angels playing their trumpets. I remember you writing me this in 09/12, “my goal is to retire in 2014. Of course, that's not up to me, but if the Lord sees fit, that's the plan”. Well He made sure you retired where He wanted you to be!

Yes, you had a big heart and it was bigger than Life! For me, you have always, always been a joy to be around. And for that, I will probably continue to miss you for some time to come. But as you told me several times, when we leave this earth, we will arrive at a place like no other. You told me this several times, especially after my son passed away. You helped me tremousesly during that period of my life and for this I also thank you!

Well Irma, I will let you go because I know you have many things to do as you always want to keep busy. Last, but not least, you would have been proud of your children in the manner that they honored you in the presents of the family.

So I leave you with these last thoughts, “your spirit and aspiration will live and be remembered forever and until we see each other, Rest in Peace.
Your brother, Manuel R

My sincerest condolences to you Regina and to you Lance. I truly know the sorry you are both experiencing, having just lost my mother a few months ago. There is, however, a comfort in the wonderful life she lived and the beautiful legacy she leaves in her children and grandchildren. Love to you both, Linda Oery

Irma,

You have left an emptiness in me. I do not know how I'm going to fill it. You were my little sister and we went places together and shared a lot of memories. I will remember you beautiful smile and the wonderful times we had. Another shining star has left this world. We will see each other again.

Love your sister,
Vicki Pena
