Jennie Caballero passed into the Lords hands after a lengthy battle with Dementia at the great age of 91.
Jennie is predeceased by her parents Jose and Martina Gonzales, her husband Ynez "Guero" Caballero and her daughter Gloria Caballero, her brothers Al, Ralph, Richard, Marty, Phil and sisters Rosie, Hope and Ruth. She is survived by her children Ernie, Robert (Theresa), Richard (Lina), Liz, Maureen (Mike), Step Son Steve (Connie) and Step Daughter Rosie. Proud Grandmother of 17 and Great Grandmother of 21.
She was oldest of 12 brothers and sisters. Her Mother passed at a young age leaving Jennie to quit school in the eighth grade to become the best 2nd Mom to her 12 siblings. Jennie had many jobs. Worked in the shipyard during World War II where she met her husband, worked in the fields, in the cannery and finally at San Jose Unified School District as a teachers aide at numerous elementary schools teaching kids English and Reading by far though her favorite was Gardner Elementary School. She loved her "kids"! She will be deeply missed for her laughter, her wittiness, her compassion for all. She is now in heaven dancing her heart away!
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 9:00A.M - 3:00P.M with a Chapel Blessing Service at 11:30A.M at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill.
