Lorraine Freitas Wasserman

Resident of San Jose

Born in Chico, CA, on November 11, 1920, to Mary Rose and Frank Freitas. Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on January 24, 2012. Beloved wife of Nathan and devoted mother of Allan (Louanne), Sam (Gail) and Frank Wasserman. Loving grandmother of David (Heidi), Lynn (Michael), Aaron and Laura and great-grandmother of Owen, Nathan and Kate. Lorraine enjoyed a happy life. As a young girl, she moved to Centerville (Fremont) where she attended school and graduated from Washington Union High School. She then moved to San Jose, married Nathan and raised three sons. Special times with Nate included dining at favorite restaurants and driving throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Friends are invited to attend funeral services Friday, Jan. 27, at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Funeral Home's Drawing Room Chapel, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Activity Center, 2380 Enborg Lane, San Jose 95128, or Hospice of the Valley.
