Marjorie Fleming Obituary

Marjorie M. Fleming May 29, 1923-Dec. 29, 2009 Passed peacefully at home with her family nearby. Born in Buffalo, NY, she worked at the New York Central Railroad and the Buffalo School Transportation dept. She married Roger Fleming on Aug. 14, 1948. In 1969, she moved with her family to Cupertino, CA, where she lived a full life as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Marjorie was an avid sports fan, and the best cook and pie maker ever. Marjorie also served as the primary supporter of bands (Unicorns and Serenaders) that her husband, Roger, played in the last 30 years. The band members could always count on Marjorie being at each performance and helping out. They will surely miss her presence, as will her family and friends. In addition to her loving husband Roger of 61 years, she is survived by her sons Roger Jr. (Susie), David, and Bruce (Donna), her grandchildren Connor and Willow, her sister, Lorraine Fleming, and her extended family in New York. Services will be held at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, 20 University Ave., Los Gatos, CA, 95030, on Sat., Jan. 2, 2009 at 1pm. Marjorie's final resting place will be in Buffalo, NY, where services are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marjorie to the Hospice of the Valley, 4850 Union Avenue, San Jose, CA 95124, would be appreciated.
