Born Marlene Joyce Teixeira, June 24, 1940 and passed away on June 4, 2011 with her youngest son by her side. Preceded in death by her father Joseph P. Teixeira and mother Mamie Teixeira. Loving wife of Ernest Rose and beloved mother of David and Bruce Farpelha. Caring Step Mother of Karen Rose, Cynthia Lowrey, Michelle Rosa, Ken Rose and Douglas Rose. Caring grandmother to Selena Rodriguez, Timothy Rose, Amanda Watson, Christine Rose, Michael Rose, Matthew Rose and Sierra Rose. Beloved great grandmother to Niko Rose, Abby Watson, and Lucca Rodriguez.
Former Secretary of Five Wounds School and School Administrator at Alum Rock School District.
Viewing at Willow Glen Funeral Home, Sun. June 12, 2-9pm and Vigil at 7pm. Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church, Mon. June 13 at 10am follow by Interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

It is only by the remotest chance that I saw this obituary. I have been in Hawai'i for many years, and was not in touch with Marlene, but once we were best friends at Notre Dame High School. I am shocked and surprised to see this, and offer my sincere condolences to her family. This is indeed a sad day. Aloha from Darlene Nunes Chang.
