Nagindar Singh Buttar
1926 - 2011
Mr. Nagindar Singh Buttar, age 85, died at home in Saratoga, California, on August 20, 2011. Born August 1, 1926, in Lyallpur, in erstwhile British India, he graduated from F.C. College, Lahore. He lived in Calcutta and Ludhiana, India, before settling in the Bay Area in 1986. He was proud of his time in the Punjab Police Department and in the Transport business in Calcutta, India. Survivors include his wife and longtime companion of 58 years, Daljit; his daughters, Mandeep (and Gopi) Ayer, Dolly (and Sandeep) Nibber, Kiran (and Mahendra) Misra; and his son Jagdeep (and Kuki) Buttar. He will be much missed by his grandchildren, Ravi, Vikrum, Varoun, Arjune, Simrun, and Govind. Bhog will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, August 28, at the Milpitas Gurdwara Sahib.

With the passing away of Shri Nagindar ji Buttar, we have lost a father once again! Our association with him might have been brief, but we were touched by his affection and impressed by his wisdom.
Dear family, May God give you strength, we are with you in this difficult time. As the great Gurus said, Sat Shri Akal, let us pray to them for peace to the departed soul.
