Robert Lonergan Obituary

LONERGAN, Robert A. -- at rest February 22, 2003 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of the late Wilda Bray Lonergan; devoted father of James W. Lonergan, of San Carlos, Patrick J. Lonergan, of Clearlake, Robert A. Lonergan, Jr., of San Jose and Daniel S. Lonergan of Brentwood; loving brother of Patricia Kerwin, of San Bruno, William Lonergan of San Diego and the late James Lonergan; devoted grandfather of Matthew, Danny, Sean, Caitlin, Kevin, Rena, Bobby, Ryan and Noah, dear friend of Shirley Hirsch and family of Foster City. A retired member of Pari-mutuel Employees Guild, Local #280, Robert had served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of American Legion Post #82, of San Mateo. A vigil service will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at O'Connell's Chapel, 1311 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, 28th Avenue and Hacienda, San Mateo followed by Interment at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto. Contributions to Salesian Society Seminary Support, 1100 Franklin Street, San Francisco, CA 94109 are preferred.
