Susan Yeager

1945 - 2022

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Susan Louise Yeager. She was born on December 26, 1945 to Robert Leonard and Louise Bernice Pleski in Superior, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Stephen Yeager who she eloped with on July 3, 1964 in Oak Hill, N.C.Susan was a member of AARP, NAPS, NARFE, QUILT Guild, Sewing Guild, PenWAG and volunteered through the library to teach kids to sew. She loved to quilt and was an excellent seamstress and craftsperson. Gardening and baking were also hobbies of hers that she enjoyed immensely. She also enjoyed playing cards and games with friends and family and had a knack for making homemade Christmas cards for birthday or special occasions. Susan worked with USPS for 35 years as a carrier, supervisor-customer services and delivery programs before retiring in 2015.She passed away peacefully on December 17th 2022 in San Jose, California surrounded by family. Susan is survived by her children, Scot (Teri), Clay, Sean (Lorie), and Eric (Van); sister, Diane Reese (Bill); brother, Scot Pleski; 8 grandchildren; as well as many other close friends and extended family members who she touched with her kindness throughout her life.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at San Jose Clubhouse, 15480 Union Ave, San Jose. The family would like to thank everyone who was touched by knowing our beloved Susan Yeager who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
