We first met Sylvia when we rented a house in the Highlands in 2004. She was our agent when we bought our first house in 2005 in Belmont. We felt that she was not motivated by just selling a house but rather finding a good home for young families like us. We are sorry that we did not know about her passing away soon. She will be missed.

Sylvia Merkadeau was a remarkable woman and she will be missed greatly by my mother and all members of my family. She was never one to take a bow or shine the spotlight on herself -- she was much more comfortable shining the light on others and orchestrating events and helping out. I will always remember Sylvia for the many kind things she did for my family and her selfless nature. She will be missed more than words can express.
