Resident of Redwood City
Predeceased by husband Wright Thompson. Survived by daughters Cherri Howes (Ed) and Linda Dang. Grandmother to Christine Kopecki, Jeremy Dang, Patrick and Michael Howes. Great Grandmother to Michael, Sean and Stephanie Kopecki and Bradley Howes, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lived in San Carlos 58 years and at Woodside Terrace in Redwood City for 10 years. Retired from Dalmo Victor Co. and a longtime member of United Airlines Retirees, CA Mayflower Society and DAR.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tues. June 16, 2015 at 9am followed by a funeral service starting at 11am both at the Redwood Chapel, 847 Woodside Road, Redwood City, CA. Interment: Skylawn Memorial Park.

Aunt Virginia never forgot to send a card and handwritten letter on every special occasion and holiday. We will miss that so much. She once told me this was her favorite joke - Little Jimmy was in Sunday school and his teacher was telling the class that GOD is in heaven. Little Jimmy shook his head and said "that's not right". He said every morning his Dad would stand outside of their bathroom and say "God are you still in there?" I thought that was so funny coming from her. She never ceased to surprise me. Janice Monk

Aunt Virginia you always remembered every special occasion with a card and handwritten letter. I loved our telephone calls. There will be an empty place in our lives without you. Our love always.
