Volk passed away peacefully on August 22, 2021 at home after a life full of adventure. He will be greatly missed by his family in the US & Germany. He was an adventurous man-passionate about family, classical music, tennis, fishing, skiing, but most of all he loved being Opa to his granddaughter Emma. He was loved by Sharen, his wife of 54 years, daughter Cathleen (predeceased), son-in-law Paul, his siblings Ilsabe, Eberhard & Friedrich, sisters-in-law Karen & Susie, brother-in-law Mark & the next generation, Diane, Hans, Ann, Justin, Janean & Genevieve. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please leave your own memories of Volk at Legacy.com

Volk was an all time great guy. I am saddened to hear of his passing. He truly enjoyed life and knew how to live it as fully as he could. I enjoyed his passion for life. He was a great friend and I enjoyed our many hours on the tennis court and the ski slopes. My condolences to his family and wife Sharen in particular. Volk you will always be missed. I left a picture which shows the fun side of Volk at a guys weekend tennis holiday.
