Bill Roe was a good neighbor and my friend, and I will miss him dearly. I felt an instant bond with Bill since he was a fireman, just like my father. We shared many times over a glass of wine in his house or mine after I moved here six years ago. He was a caring person, for people and animals, including my Bindi who jumped for joy any time she saw him across the street. I took this photo of a fox who felt completely at home lounging in his carport.
