Michael Kirk Obituary

Michael Wayne Kirk

Michael Wayne Kirk, 65, of Duluth/Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in his home, after a lengthy period of poor health.

Mike was born to Young R. Kirk and Barbara (Richards) Kirk on January 21, 1960, during their Air Force years. Mike left home early and settled in Duluth where he lived and worked most of his life. He did housekeeping, laundry and professional cleaning in the Duluth hospitals complex as well as some independent cleaning. He worked at the Domiano Soup Kitchen also for a number of years, even as he was homeless for quite some time.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa, and her children of Duluth; sister, Kathleen of Virginia along with her children Michelle of Barnum, Mitchell of Virginia, Benjamin of Virginia and Sheldon of Green Bay. Along with all the grandchildren. Also his brother, Joseph of Virginia. His mother's sister, Nancy and her children of Tennessee. His father's brother, Terry and all of his children throughout Minnesota.

Due to family concerns, there will be no services; only a private immediate family get-together.
