Edna Stelling Obituary

Edna Alma Pevler Stelling, 95, passed away Oct. 31, 2008, of natural causes. She was born Oct. 9, 1913, in Wray, Colo., to Walter and Rachel Pevler, second of four children.
Edna married Ed Stelling on Dec. 29, 1930, and farmed at Otis, Colo., until moving to their farm on the South Slope in Emmett, Idaho, in March 1938. From this union they had four children, Nola, Marshall, Leta and Calvin.
Edna's real joy in life was music and dance, late in life she would dance four nights a week at senior centers all around the valley. She was as excellent cook and always cooked for the threshing crews, as well as for many holiday dinners.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years and sisters, Faye and Beuhla.
She is survived by her bother Norman Pevler; and her children, Nola (Ray) Dillon, Marshall (Sheryl) Stelling, Leta (Bill) Burt and Calvin Stelling. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
A viewing was held Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, from 10 a.m. until the procession left the Potter Funeral Chapel at 1:45 p.m. for the Emmett Cemetery, where the graveside service were conducted at 2 p.m. Friends were asked to meet at the chapel.
The family would like to give special thanks to The Cottages of Emmett and Heart & Home Hospice.
