Kathleen Hazel Venters

1948 - 2021

Emmett formerly of Boise - Kathleen Hazel Venters 72 years of age, a resident of Cherry Ridge of Cascadia in Emmett ID, passed away in the early morning hours of July 21, 2021 in her sleep.

Kathleen was born on August 27, 1948 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Edward and Hazel Schutte. Kathleen grew up with her parents in Gooding, Idaho, graduated from Gooding High School, and went to vocational college in Pocatello, Idaho. She later married her first husband Robert Puckett in Gooding and moved to Boise, Idaho in 1971 and started a family with two children, Allen and Heidi. Kathleen and Robert divorced in 1980. Later, she married Stanley Venters in 1987 in Boise, Idaho where she gained two stepchildren John & Demi. In 1997 she and Stan moved to Nampa, Idaho.

In November of 2003, Kathleen suffered a massive stroke and smaller strokes while hospitalized, requiring her to receive continual medical care. Kathleen loved her home; the residents and staff at Cherry Ridge over the last 8 years, being a member of the Calvary Chapel of Emmett, reading her bible, and especially visiting with her family, and having grandchildren.

Kathleen is survived by her son, Allen (Holli) Puckett of Eagle, daughter Heidi Mireles of Boise, her stepchildren John Venters and Demi Venters-Stano of Boise, and grandchildren Zackary, Lucas, and Noah. Kathleen is preceded in death by her father Ed Schutte, mother Hazel Mays, stepfather Harold Mays, husband Stanley Venters, and her firstborn son Benjamin Puckett.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett with Pastor Mike Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.
