Dennis C. Lingle, 82, of Metropolis, passed away at 7:10 a.m.Thursday, April 10, 2025, at his home.
He is also survived by, his wife of 64 years, K. Juanita Goines; his children, Juanita Diane Waid of Metropolis, and Jeffrey Dennis Lingle of Wyanet; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and a brother, Allen L. Lingle of Conway, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by two sisters. His parents were William Carl Lingle and Opal Ida Marie (Skelton) Lingle.
He was employed in the security department at the Elgin State Hospital until his retirement. He also as a parts delivery driver for NAPA Auto Parts stores in the Elgin area.
Dennis was reared in the Baptist faith. However, he and Juanita worshiped together at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Metropolis.
A Celebration of the Life of Dennis Lingle will be held Saturday afternoon, May 17, 2025, at 2 P.M. at the Lighthouse Assembly of God, 670 Airport Road, Metropolis. Brett Laszio will officiate.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the church.
