Harry Orval Scott Sr., 92, of Metropolis, went to be with his faithful on Dec. 2, 2022, at Massac Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Cole officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery in Brownfield, Illinois.
Harry was born on Sept. 26, 1930, in Grantsburg, the son of Henry Orval and Sudie (Johnson) Scott. He married Elisabeth Quoika on Jan. 26, 1956. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2019. Harry served in the United States Army 594 Field Artillery Battalion as a Communications Specialist during the Korean War. He worked at the Job Corp as a masonry instructor and was an avid motorcycle rider.
Harry is survived by his sons, Randolph Scott and wife Gina, Tyrone Scott and wife Marife, and Glenn Scott and wife Kim; grandchildren, Angel, Josh, Elise, Krista, Tyleigh, Samuel, and Hannah Scott and Aften Whitener; 20 great-grandchildren; close cousin, Betty Kendall; and a host of friends and family.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 63 years; an infant daughter, Heide; son, Harry Scott, Jr.; and grandsons, Ryan Scott and Eric Shane Bunch.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

Harry you will be sadly missed. You have been a wonderful cousin. I am so sad that you didn't make your goal of 100 yrs. old. I was rooting for you! My prayers go out to the family.
