Jessica A. McGovern

Jessica A. McGovern, 42, of Douglas, formerly of Acushnet and New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly Mon. Jan 21st due to a brain aneurysm. Jessica was the daughter of the late John and Claire MacDonald. She was a graduate of Northeastern Univ. with a degree in electrical and computer engineering. She worked as a LEED Certified Project/Sales Manager of standby generators for RA Mitchell Generators in New Bedford. Jessica was an avid and competitive horseback rider and lover of all animals, caring for many on her farm. She is survived by her boyfriend, Roy Correia of Douglas, former husband Ryan Ratner and his daughter Sophie Ratner of Dartmouth, brothers, Justin MacDonald of St. Louis, and Jason MacDonald and his wife Liz of Plymouth, aunt, Loretta MacDonald, and many cous- ins, nieces, and neph- ews. Jessica was predeceased by her step - mother, June Marie MacDonald and her brother Christopher MacDonald. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00am in St. Tarcisius Parish, 562 Waverly St. Framingham, MA with burial to follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
