John Hebert Obituary

John Jeffrey Hebert, age 61, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 5, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was born January 25, 1955 to William and Afreda Hebert in Marlborough, Massachusetts. It was a sport that he was passionate about and he excelled in for decades. He was a mentor in the sport and a best friend of many. He will be sorely missed in that arena. He is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Linda of 36 years and his two precious daughters, Lane Emily and Cooper Mallory. John was a long-time member of Whites Chapel Methodist Church in Dallas but upon relo cating to Houston is a member of Good Shepherd Methodist Church. Other survivors include his brother Billy Hebert and sister Cathe Lopez and their families in Massachusetts. John is further survived by many sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Linda, Lane and Cooper; I am so sorry for your loss. John was a longtime friend, teammate, roommate bigger than life guy who was always there when you needed him, always there when we got in trouble growing up and many memories that I am grateful to have been a part of. He was passionate about a lot of things and I knew when he met Linda it would be a perfect fit. I am sure he was a great Dad.God Bless

Very shocked and saddened to hear of Johns passing. I met him at his very first rugby practice when he came out to play for the Woodlands and he was a very talented athlete who just took to the game. We had many memorable rugby trips together and he was a grieat friend over the years. Condolences to Linda, Lane and Cooper

A very sincere prayer goes out to Linda, Cooper and Lane. This is heartbreaking for us as well and we know how much John was as a dedicated Husband and Father. He was a charismatic speaker mostly of his wife and family. He was the brother all would want. Now he rests in the hands of God! Much love to all that also loved him.

I was so devastated and shocked to hear of John's sudden passing. He was a great friend and colleague. This empty desk next to mine is difficult to see. I will sure miss our long discussions about Rugby, debates over the greatness of Tom Brady, and helping with miscellaneous computer questions and issues that John found so frustrating. ;0)

Linda, Lane and Cooper, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and I pray that God will comfort you all during this difficult time.
